I tried the pendant that records everything. The future is bright.
At first it felt like a toy, but that changed when I asked its AI “how can I be a better partner”, and it replied with a list of hyper personalized feedback, like the classic “when your partner expresses feeling anxious, try to validate those feelings more explicitly before offering solutions”.
The real novelty is that when I asked for examples, it replied with exact conversations, correctly inferred my partner’s emotions from the context, and suggested alternative responses I could have used.
Like an exec coach but with perfect memory. Super impressive. And available instantly, any time, for dirt cheap.
Imagine how bright is a future where everyone wears an infinitely patient and intelligent coach around their neck. Everyone can ask: “How could I be a better parent, friend, manager”, and get a distillation of all of humanity’s wisdom with hyper tailored examples.
This is incredibly exciting, much more than all pendants’ demo about remembering your groceries’ list and summarizing work calls.
And this is only the start! Soon people will build open source versions ([Omi AI](https://www.linkedin.com/company/omi-ai/)), meaning you're free to build anything on top, like a cron job to get weekly reports on how to be an even better father, and a tool that surfaces your happiest conversations and saves them in a happiness journal.
For example, every night before sleep, my partner and I list the happiest moments of our day, which is incidentally often the happiest moment of our day! How exciting is it that decades from now, when we go through tough times, we'll able to read hundreds of pages of our happiest memories together?
I'm sharing this also because it's easy for our amygdala-primed brains to view always-recording devices through a Black Mirror prism, and forget all the genuinely exciting possibilities it brings.
The future is bright.
